Megalos Kampos is built in the middle of an olive grove at Marathos, a quiet traditional sea-side Greek village in Messinia thus making it an excellent children friendly destination for family trips or for those who want a relaxing vacations with a lot of activities in the surrounding area and interesting historical places to see. It is also not too far away from Olympia the birthplace of the Olympic Games (short day trip by car).

    The nearest place to Rent a car or bike is at Pylos or Kalamata but you will get the best rates from the Athens airport.

    The accomodation is cleaned daily and there are a lot of games and toys for both adults and children including a dedicated BBQ area.

    Activities

    There are several options for activities including walks to river and lakes, archaeological sites or scuba diving to a shipwreck off the Proti isle just about 1 mile away from Marathos.
